Affliction dungeon adventures

The ST build works fine on the bosses. But I could not find any AOE screenshots from my latest runs. (Wonder why :p )

I've played affliction in a lot of dungeons now. I currently hold the 2nd (Ruthe) and 5th warlock, (Yazma) place on the server, and have done 18 runs as affliction. I've tested out some different builds. And I am kind of disappointed. You kind of have to choose between a ST and AOE build. Using an affliction ST build in dungeons is even worse than healing motherlode on sanguine weeks with a party of blind warriors. I tried it out a couple of times on tyrannical week. It just requires too much work.

It's seed of corruption to spread corruption, agony all, haunt, two unstable afflictions on one target (to proc the azerite trait), siphon life some, phantom singularity. If you have your cooldowns up, it's dark soul, lucid essence (don't have bote), dark glare, trinket. And THEN you can start doing damage by using malefic rapture. At this point either all your dots are starting to fall off, or the pack was dead 10 minutes ago. And when on earth are you going to fit your three new curses into the rotation...?

Using an aoe build, it is much much better. But then your single target damage suffers hard. By using absolute corruption, you don't have to worry about them falling off, and don't have to worry about siphon life. You can use dark caller instead of haunt, to get even one less spell to worry about. But you still need all those agonies out to get your shard generation going. But I've come to the conclusion that I always go for this build in dungeons. And I think that using the same spender for ST and AOE may not be as good as it sounds.

The next step is to test out affliction in raids.
