Being away from wow for a few months was a very good idea. When I came back, I enjoyed the game again. And I even thought that Zereth Mortis was beautiful. For the first time. I was worried about the gear, since I left at the start of the progression. But I didn't have to worry, because gearing in this patch was super nice. Creation catalyst made me obtain all tier pieces after two weeks. And uncapped valor made me ilvl 270 after three weeks. The people I play most with are around 272-279. The legendaries had been easier to obtain too, so I didn't have to pay for any gold

I started my comeback as balance. With the new tier set, it felt really good to play again. Much more action with more astral power, and using the legendary that made convoke a 1 min cooldown. I tried to pug a few dungeons as balance, but gave up pretty soon since I didn't get invited to anything. Queued as resto, and got instant group. That made me gradually come back as healer again.

The first raid I raided as balance. But then one of our healers stopped showing up, and I was asked if I would like to be backup healer. I love healing raids, so of course I said yes.

The coolest part of the 9.2.5 patch is that we can finally play in dungeons and raids cross faction! I can play with my old horde friends again! I can even go horde again and still play with guildies. But I have started to love worgens, so I will probably not change it. Even though the zandalari balance form is pretty tempting.

Me and my bestie
We got Anduin down for the first time on HC! Posing with the guild.
Ulveblomst back as healer
Poor Ruthe did not manage to stay my main for long
Healing sanguine 18 with guildies. Did not go too well on the bosses.
Got ksm! Playing with dom and an old horde friend.
Healing the raid
Saving Undercity ❤ as a questline
Yay! Got the ksm mount! The best recolor of the m+ mounts!

I looked back on my goals for 9.2, and have actually already achieved them all! A lot of the predictions have also already come true.

My goals for 9.2

  • Try to quit when the game is not fun anymore (hah!) I actually manged to do this!

  • Try not to infect my bad expectations over to other guildies I quit, so it went fine

  • Kill Anduin (on any difficulty) Yep! Both lfr and HC currently

  • Bonus goal: Get the KSM mount. This mount is the only mount I think my lock would look cool on in the entire patch. Not sure it is worth it though. Yes!

My predictions for 9.2

  • I will start doing keys as affliction. I will do ok until we get our second legendary and tier set bonuses. Then I will get beaten by wutteat in tank spec on the damage meters. Did start with affliction, but gave up pretty soon

  • I will start the raid as affliction. I will do so bad at single target fights, so I'll change to demo Sad and true

  • I will do worse as demo because I have little experience with the spec, and find out that all top end demo locks do high damage because of external buffs As expected. I also didn't like raiding as demo because I couldn't do mechanics while doing any damage

  • After trying demo for a while, I'll give up and quit for a couple of weeks Sad and true

  • I will come back and main resto for the rest of the expansion, taking a few weeks off here and there Currently also true

  • I will try feral for a couple of weeks too, but give up

  • I will not manage to get curve this tier

  • The guild will kill the end boss once, with a pug healer present

  • I will be the last person in our premade group to get KSM Yes, I was the last person in the ksm group that got ksm

  • There will be a boss in Taravesh that I never manage to do the mechanics on This is already true, but can change

  • I will hate the rep grind, but do it anyway

  • I will grind for a lot of mounts that I don't really like and that I'm never going to use Currently these mounts needs WAY too much grinding for my taste. So I might never get them.

  • This patch will be the longest in wow's history. When the new expansion hits, the guild will be dead.
