I was going to write a long post about the pros and cons with the whole fated raids thing this season, but at the end of the day it's just....
Boring.
Castle Nathria wasn't that bad, so I thought I would like them more than I originally thought I would, just like the dungeons ended up less dull than I thought they would be.
But Sanctum and Sepulcher were both... too recent, and too much frustration pent up to be enjoyable. After Sanctum I swore off doing that ever again and the same happened after Sepulcher.
The affixes I feel didn't add anything to the fights. Sometimes it's a bad combo (the dispell one combined with Nerzhul mechanics in general for example) or it can be a huge damage buff with few downsides. It kinda gives off the vibe the covenant mechanics have in the dungeons, it does not appeal to me.
The only good thing is the whole currency system. The amount of boss kills to get the coins to buy stuff off the vendor is fine. The 20 kills on heroic/mythic bosses seems a bit off - it means you will prolly just get an early trinket/weapon buy and upgrade it and after that m+ gear should just outmatch heroic gear for example. If the season was twice as long maybe it would have made more sense. But if they do this in Dragonflight and have it be 40 kills per upgrade item then its kinda a hopeless system.
I was thinking doing some more raiding, since it's so laidback for me at the moment in raids, but this is just too boring to bother.
Lesson here is after a season of a raid I am done with it for a long time. The dungeons just last longer it feels like because the gameplay feels more organic, and changing.
