More timwalking this week, with Burning Crusade on top of the Legion ongoing stuff. Affixes were Fortified-Inspiring-Grievous. Which is not great for mass pulling, to put it that way.

Ghoset did the following this week

Vault.

Took the chest. It might have crit/mastery, but it was a 19 iLevel upgrade over the chestpiece I had. The Ooze was mighty tempting too, but would mostly be for offspec so resisted.

Six keystones:

Theater of Pain +8 *

Sanguine Depths +8 ***

De Other Side +9 **

Spires of Ascension +8 ***

Necrotic Wake +10 **

Theater of Pain +10 *

No Kazzak-ratings this week. One observation however. When joining pug keys, the keyholder is normally dps and ends up 3rd or 4th on the meters, below what you would consider decent dps for the key level. Meanwhile, one dps (recruited last normally) is well geared, and is supposed to make up for the keyholder being shit. The second one is whatever the keyholder managed to rope in when listing and taking the first dps to sign to have more appeal to others, so it's a bit random. The real problem happens when the dps that is recruited to be the carry sucks. Compare these two end of dungeon meters.

In Necrotic Wake the keyholder is 3rd on dps, and the two other dps is ahead of him. The system works. Nearly 3 chested even, since the keyholder was pretty good - mostly my fault because I should have done some meatier pulls for time it was merely a 2 chest.

In Theater of Pain on the other hand. The keyholder is 2nd, the second dps recruited is 3rd and the overgeared metapick the Windwalker monk is 4th. If that guy hadn't eaten all the failure damage the dungeon has, the healer would most likely have matched him. We still barely timed it, but that was because the healer and I cut the slack. Here the pug way of grouping just broke down. And I sort of understand WHY people with limited time tilts during keys.

Open world stuff.

Replenishing the Reservoir

4x Callings

Weekly thoughts.

I got a decent upgrade in the vault and got a chunk of score to let me reach the next valor upgrade rank so progress was good, even if I did not get any drops. Right now I am badly in need of a main hand to keep up with threat when going even higher keys, and ideally a scale that is not a 210 from last season. So focus is changing from getting rating to getting a weapon at least before going back to score hunting.

Being halfway through the project, my goal for end of project is:

1600 Score

236 iLevel

Plans for next reset

Do 4 keys that has weapon drops

Do Torghast for enough cinders for legendary rank 6

Stats after week done

Covenant: Kyrian (Renown 80)

Main spec: Vengeance (229 iLevel [+1]) [1403.7 score (+157,3)]

Offpsec: Havoc (229 iLevel [+1]) [0.0 score]

Main Secondaries: Versatility (14%) & Haste (17%)

Legos: Scorched Soul Shackles (rank 4)

Raid Prog: -

Professions: Leatherworking (max) & Enchanting (101)

Navarim did the following this week:

Vault.

Took the weapon. When I get 1700 m+ score I can save some valor upgrading that instead of staff.

Five Keystones:

Spires of Ascension +7 **

Halls of Atonement +7 **

Plaguefall +8 **

Theater of Pain +9 ***

Halls of Atonement +11 *

No Kazzak-ratings this week. This Halls run had an overambitious starting pull that went sour. But did it standard to still time the key instead of disbanding. Which was a nice change of pug pace.

Open world stuff.

3x Callings

Replenishing the Reservoir

Shaping Fate

Enough research to socket the 3 items I have that can have them (bracers + domination sockets take up the other 3 pieces that could be socketed). Not sure why I still do Korthia, but could do conduits with the research next...

Weekly thoughts.

Very close to 4h runtime. After 3 full weeks of no gear upgrades, I got something this week. A Haste/Crit ring from TOP that was traded to me, and a Haste/Mastery neck drop from 11 Halls. Neck even had leech on it. Upgraded both to 239 with valor point. Haste thus increased from 10% to 20%. In addition, got a decent chunk of character m+ score and an overall iLevel incrase. So a very good week for Navarim finally.

Halfway through the project, my end of project goals are now:

1800 character m+ score

242 iLevel

Plans for next reset.

Get 1700 character m+ score.

Stats after week done

Covenant: Night Fae (Renown 80) & Kyrian (Renown 80)

Main spec: Demonology (238 iLevel [+1]) [1578.9 score (+217,6]]

Offpsec: Destruction (238 iLevel) [915.2 score] & Affliction (228 iLevel) [97.5 score]

Main Secondaries: Haste (20%) & Mastery (34%)

Legos: Wilfred's Wristwraps of Superior Summoning (rank 6), Cindercloak of the Azj'Aqir (rank 3), Relic of Demonic Synergy (rank 2).

Raid Prog: Heroic Sanctum 5/10 [+0], 10/10 LFR Sanctum

Professions: Tailoring (max) & Inscription (max)

Prediction development

Ghoset will be closer in iLevel, but still more than 5 iLevels behind.

Navarim gained 1 iLevel. Ghoset gained 1 iLevel. Lead remains at 9 iLevels.

Navarim will have dipped into more content.

Neither have done new content this week. Still a tie.

Navarim will have more progress on alt specs.

Navarim did not play alt specs this week.
