Fun rating this week: 3/6.
I think mosty the 3 from this week was due to a little too much stress for playing several nights in a row in december. One of the most busy months of the year. And who tf decides to have a tournament in december!? At least not a parent!
This week, we signed up for "the great push" tournament. If you could do specific keys at levl 15, you would get an ingame banner thingy. The 6 best teams in the world would go to the finals. I was really looking forward to it. It would be fun to see how far we were able to push a key. We could buy the best gear (mythic raiding gear etc) there is, and freely use all types of consumables.
It started on friday. I had taken the day off to sleep since it had been a ridicuolus week at work, and I needed to restart to be able to perform. And I skipped the christmas party at work (that got cancelled because of corona in the end). But there were too many that had signed up, so the servers couldn't handle the load. The serveres weren't up before midnight, and by then at least one from our team had gone to bed. I was super disappointed.
On saturday, we managed to get in, and played a few dungeons. The first key was necrotic sanguine fortified Plaguefall, and the other was inspiring, quaking, tyrannical mists. We pushed the mists key to 20 in time. By then we were really tired. We tried the 21 once, but did not time it. And we had time to get the plaguefall one to a 17 in time. If we had more time, maybe we could have done better. I don't know. Since we had a raid on sunday, we didn't play that day either. Anyway, it was fun to try. To buy equipment with perfect stats, and to waste feast when I needed a sip of mana.
I was thinking that this would either make me really eager to play, or cure me for wanting to play at all. I'm not sure it did either. Since it was only one night. I was healing the keys since spec stacking was not allowed, and we had another balance druid in the group.
This sunday the raid went ok. We had a few new people that hadn't gotten the curve yet, and we got Sylvanas down again, so that was nice. After that we did alt raid. I played Ruthe as affliction. And I must say that affliction is again one of my favourite specs. It does not perform too well, so I'm a bit worried to main affliction. But the spec feels good again. It feels good to press the buttons. Currently affliction is number two from the bottom place for dps based on sanctum of domination heroic raids.
The spec was destroyed in BFA, and slapped in the face at the start of shadowlands. And now, after they buffed sow the seeds, it can finally be used in dungeons again (at our level). But I miss the utility of the druid. My dream spec would be affliction warlock with druid utilities. And a better drain life. That ability was so nerfed that it doesn't really do anything now.
