Adagabo, 1 month into season 1

Also known as The Alt. I was pretty stoked about playing more druid after the expansion dropped since it seemed like all specs were actually viable. And having multiple specs ended up easier than it appeared it would be when the game was in beta, so the world was at my feet. But it didn't really end up that way...

m+/raids

The m+ thing has been the most pressing issue. On my main I usually have to do some secretary work, which I don't really do on alts. I had some promising early weeks where I played with wind/ulv some, and some with a community group - but after that I have been busy for the first alternative, and the community group progressed to a point the character could no longer participate (so I had to plain main instead). While I have pugged for a vault thing a couple of weeks, getting 1 vault thingie and no option is going back to the horrors of the BFA loot chest. Getting no progress. And pugging stuff on all tyrannical weeks is fairly high risk over 2-3 as someone is bound to have shit gear and after 1 wipe on any boss people often leave. So putting in the hours on tyra weeks for an option on an alt is making it offputting.

Have a somewhat balanced spread of playing Guardian and Balance so far. Guardian spec and legendary was somewhat thought out beforehand, but Balance was just thrown together for when Wind was tanking at some point. And there's a million tanks in the guild at the moment, so mostly played balance when I was playing with familiar people, and tank when pugging. Both specs are pretty neat, but I haven't played either any substantial amount so the room for improvement is pretty massive.

I kinda have two concerns about reaching the goals I set for the character here - first one is that I am pugging m+, and only a little, so gear progress is super slow. With m+ being so ineffective at handing out gear, it's not really a valid thing to just do a key on one a week and call it a day if you want to get anywhere - unless you are getting a boost for a weeks. And pugging my way up as feral or learning healing in pugs isn't ideal either. So at the moment I think this character is going to be a dud this season.

Also not done LFR for memories yet, which kinda says enough about my effort spent here.

Soft goals

Have crafted a rank 1 Guardian legendary (Ursoc's Fury Remembered) and a rank 1 Balance legendary (Balance of All Things). I was planning on Mother Tree for Restoration, but not done the raid to pick it up. And Apex Predator for Feral, but don't have that memory either, which kinda says enough about my Torghast effort on the character as well. The fact that leather base items for legendaries are so freaking expensive doesn't help with the impulse to get them either since I know I will not upgrade them.

As for the other soft goal part, currently renown 22. I have done the other campaign endings, but night fae was spoiled early for me haven't felt the rush to get through it.

Overall, I am struggling with motivation to play this character at the moment. Multispeccing on alts was a bit too much to bite into. The fact that gearing in pve is also not in a good place at the moment makes doing alts a chore - especially the torghast runs. Spitting gold into 4 different legendaries and the 16 weeks or so needed to get enough ash for rank 4 on them all on an alt, and the amount of m+ to get 4 of each dungeon timed on 10+ seems a bit excessive in this expansion. Like for Serwa (the other Main) I doubt this character will have a lot of progress done the next month.
