The supposed break week. Only did a couple of days in the end, as I ended up with a reasonable idea of how to play going forward that would annoy me less pretty much from writing last week's post. In essence, I am withdrawing as much as possible from guild runs. Will only try for progress on Stormlufser, the other characters I will do whatever on since I don't need to keep up with others anymore. Noticed an immediate enjoyment increase.
This week had the second legendary unlock. For some specs, like my prot pala, that was huge. For my three other specs it was more "that's nifty" than a big spike. The biggest thing is the sheer amount of healing Chain Harvest does in m+. Shorter cooldown, so it's often up for pulls where there's huge group damage which then heals the entire group and then leaves a complimentary riptide. Not a dps magic trick, but dear god it's helping out in messy pug keys.
The campaign chapter the thingie was unlocked from had ok quests - the story was plastered all over wowhead months ago so already been there.
Stormlufser the Awakened
The only character I will try to consistently play on a weekly basis. Raid and 4-8 keys a week is the plan. Since the valor upgrades is capped at 272 ilevel, which can be done with 2k rating, that is the goal. Which does not require very high keys done at this point.

Other happenings
While I have actively tried to avoid guild m+ runs, I was roped into doing 3 on my DH and joined 2 on my shaman when they needed one dps to avoid pugs. The DH runs were ok, the shaman ones were a mistake. Goal for next week is to not get roped into doing stuff on shaman.
I have spent a chunk of time trying to learn Tazavesh this reset. Both suffer from short timers, and could have used a 1 or 2 minute added time to them. So'Azmi keeps being the wall in Streets, while the dragon captain in Gambit has caused the most issues, even on fortified. The murlocs in Gambit can also be hopeless since some pug people don't have any situation awareness when walking around. Learning will continue, but assume I won't do them much once I have the right amount of score from them.
The two people that went hard on pugging got KSM this week. Presumably multiple others will get it the next two weeks. I don't know if I will get it the upcoming reset (it's necrotic - spiteful) since I am behind on Gambit and De Other Side on Fortified, but week 6 I will get it for sure.
My shaman has tier gloves that dropped in raid in week 2 I think, otherwise none of my characters has gotten any. At this rate I will play with tier for a week or two before the aimed quit. Given the massive output difference between tier and not tier, the game feels as rotten as expected. I pity people that play in static groups that wants to push at this point... Or people pugging for that matter, but will never get into a group since they are sitting there with no tier. At this point the bad luck protection feels like coming into play 4 weeks late.
Comments
