I was away for most of week 7 and some of week 8, so activity was lower than usual. Guess I need to not be able to play to get a more sensible play pattern... :)
Week 7 had the last major unlock featured in this patch: the creation thingie. That lets you convert other items into set pieces. Huzzah!
Week 7 event was Legion timewalking, which comes with Legion m+ too. It brings variation and some pieces of loot like trinkets you can't normally get. But only being there for a week, it's hard to bother unless that's what I'm gonna do all week.
Week 8 event was battlegrounds. Snore.
Week 7 affixes were Tyrannical - Sanguine - Storming - Encrypted. I like that week a lot. Had to sneak in some speedy runs to get some vaults, and they all went fairly well. Another good push week if I play second of rotation.
Week 8 affixes were Fortified - Raging - Explosive - Encrypted. I do not like pugging these. Both raging and explosive have often been very easy to deal with in guild groups; multiple soothes and a bunch of people that tend to deal with explosives. In pugs people just go in and aoe and don't really deal with explosives or care that all the trash suddenly hit like trucks. In a premade group this might be pretty good, can skip during second rotation.
Stormlufser, the Awakened
After so many weeks of annoyance due to set piece stuff, week 7 was finally the time to get some progress. Not only did I get a tier piece from the m+ vault, but I could also upgrade a piece with the catalyst. So I got a 2 piece set bonus. Kinda invalidates the raids as a source of rewards at this point. Wutteät got KSM, so the plan changed to get 2k rating on this one.
Which I got in week 8. Along with upgrading another piece to tier, giving me 3 pieces in dungeons and 4 in raids. My only pieces that are not "ok" right now are the bracers and the belt, as they are world boss drops and can't be upgraded. Everything else can now is passable enough to spend valor on. So I can I get to 274 or something I think if I just get valor and never get anything from vault again. Which is ok.
Base legendary items prices are now "reasonable". Combined with the ability to buy ash/cinders for flux, I have been tempted to get another enhance legendary and one each for elemental and restoration. Just to have offspec weeks when melee affixes are bad. Just don't know how much I am *actually* going to play this character. Due to new recruits someone have already aired me switching to something else, which made me question how much playtime it will actually get in the long run. The major road choice for the character at this point.

Other Happenings
The next expansion was announced. Will write own post on that at some point.
The other characters are getting their set pieces. Tried playing some with the 2 piece set bonuses. Blood DK got the most output out of it, but neither that, prot pala nor vengeance DH felt any different gameplay wise. It's nicer with higher numbers than lower numbers (especially if you have low numbers!), especially if it's huge jumps like the blood DK. But this feels badly done, not a fan of this way of doing sets.
I broke some more alt rules, and have played some more horde DH, some guardian druid and a tiny bit of BM hunter. The biggest issue has been the complete lack of keys available, so the competition to get into them is massive for dps especially. It took nearly 20 attempts to get into a key between 2 and 8 on my 250 iLevel hunter for example. Even the horde tank keeps taking lots of attempts even if in a decent spot gearwise.
There's 4 more resets of my intended patch play. 5 in reality due to sub time. I currently do not see a logical reason to continue playing after. Looking at another 15-20 week Curve is not tempting. Getting score is not tempting. Set bonuses have been mostly a numbers bump. And I've managed to break out of the "must stay a part of guild runs" thing. So kinda curious what I would actually do if I continued, except some random dungeons just because.
