Trying Beguiling for the first time

+11 Freehold

Yay, the new mythic plus season is here! Going from mastering +15s, to struggling a lot with a +11, seems a bit weird, but there are a lot of changes, and we need to get used to the new affix, and of course, we will gradually get better gear, which will also make everything easier.

I had watched a couple of videos about Beguiling before the season started, so I knew a little bit about what we were going up against, but from the videos I had gotten the feeling that the void lady was put in places we usually made shortcuts instead of following the main path, but yesterday we had to fight a lot of them, so avoiding them will not help.

You can line of sight her attacks, but apparently, line of sight for her does not work the same way as our line of sight. We can stand behind things where we won't be able to damage her, but her attacks will still kill us. We will need to get her HP down, and then she will teleport away.

Needless to say, we did not make the run in time. It was a bit strange not having to focus on when we get to 20, 40, 60 and 80%. The Beguiling ladies give % as well, and no Reaping will spawn. I guess it's going to take some time getting used to that.

Tracking the Keystone Master achievement

This season I am going for the Keystone Master achievement. It's a nice goal to work toward, and it should be pretty doable, I think. I hope...

I have decided to keep track of it in my WoW journal.

Tracking the firsts for each level

I also made a new spread for mythic pluses in Season 3. I had one of these spreads in the beginning of the expansion as well, but things got quite confusing since I was switching from Horde to Alliance. I also had columns for completing the dungeons on normal mode, heroic mode etc., and there were leaps from +15 to +18, for example, but for the new spread for the season, I decided to start on +10, since we know we can complete those, and then slowly track our progress, one level at a time. And to keep this less confusing, this will only list Krissie's progress, not any of my other characters.

There is also extra space at the bottom of the page, in case Operation: Mechagon or other dungeons should be a part of it at any point.

I put down the date for when I first completed that dungeon on that level, not necessarily in time. It's going to be a fun thing to track, I think.

So, Krissie has only done one mythic plus so far this season, and as mentioned, it was a +11 that we did not make in time. She did not get any new essences or anything, but earlier in the day, I did three runs on my healer, Krisandra. We did a +6, a +5 and a +4, and they were all timed runs (still a lot harder than in Season 2), and since we completed those runs in time (Esmë and I were pugging), she got essences, both for main specc and off-specc.

I am looking forward to more mythic plus runs in the near future. Fun, fun, fun!
